O.J. Simpson to sell line of winter gloves
Miami, FL. - Fresh off the cancellation of his book “Confessions”, (Not to mention the dumped Fox TV interview)
and presently awaiting trial in Las Vegas for armed robbery, O.J. Simpson today revealed a new line of winter gloves, just in time for the holiday shopping season and approaching winter.
The gloves, made out of domestic leather, are said to resemble the glove that was made famous in the 1995 Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman murder trial in which O.J. Simpson was the primary suspect but found not guilty.
The new line of gloves made for men, will be available in all sizes and are expected to be sold at prominent retailers across the country, though presently Mr. Simpson declined to name stores where they will be sold.
Mr. Simpson also plans on selling the gloves direct to consumers on late night TV commercials by calling 1-800-OJ-Glove. The gloves will be autographed by the ex-football star.
In addition to being made with fine leather, Mr. Simpson told Red Tractor USA that these gloves will be water proof and guaranteed not to shrink to a smaller size when wet. Though sold in pairs, Mr. Simpson envisions that many buyers may give a single glove to friends for Christmas as a gag gift in reference to the glove that was found at the crime scene of his slain wife.
Mr. Simpson also expects that his glove line will be very popular in Europe where he is still better known as a football star. Mr. Simpson expects that profits from sales of the gloves in Europe should not be subject to any prior court orders since his reputation in Europe is still based on legendary running exploits as a former star player in the NFL in the 1970s.
As of press time there was no word from the estate of Ronald Goldman whether they will seek a court order to receive the profits from this glove line. In the past Ronald Goldman’s father Fred has contested vigorously in court any attempts from Mr. Simpson to profit from his son’s murder.
