Yellow Sticky Notes Key To Rise Through The Ranks
Cincinnati,OH- Interviewed in her office today at a large consumer goods company, employee Amy Fisher contributed her use of yellow sticky notes to her rise through the corporate ranks. Amy confirmed that her English degree from college has been useful in her career but it was not until she adopted a wide spread use of yellow sticky notes, that her career really took off.
Amy’s first started using sticky notes to write down phone numbers of friends when they called her at work and then noticed that her boss at the time, seemed really impressed by these. Soon after her boss commented on how organized she was, Amy started using sticky notes for recording everything from meeting times to marketing deadlines.
It was after about six months of using yellow sticky notes that Amy received her first promotion at her current firm. Since then, Amy has pasted sticky notes everywhere in her office and can confirm that she has never forgotten a thing. According to Amy,”While many of my coworkers type everything they know into computers, I have truly separated my self from the crowd by using yellow sticky notes”.
Barbara Mills, the office manager in Amy’s department, told
Red Tractor USA that it is true that many people in her office have noticed and recognized Amy for her reliance on these sticky notes. Many of Amy’s coworkers have noticed this as well and have grown so frustrated with their computer network being down, that they are also considering adopting yellow sticky notes as a primary way of recording key dates and thoughts.
This summer, Amy was promoted for the second time in three years and is positive, that if it was not for yellow sticky notes, she would still be the junior clerk.
